Bolton Valley is a unique, high mountain alpine ski village located in northern Vermont. At Bolton Valley, the recreational opportunities are as numerous as the views are spectacular. Whether you’re interested in skiing or snowboarding, telemark or Nordic, backcountry or night skiing, mountain biking or disc golf, Bolton Valley has it all in abundance.
Bolton Valley was looking to redesign their site to reflect a holistic representation of all that Bolton Valley has to offer, all-year round. Bolton Valley is a locals place, where Vermonters have spent countless winters (and summers) exploring the terrain, the relaxed vibe, and the various mainstay personalities. Being a locals place, it was important to get a sense of locals' culture across to website visitors. However, this website re-design was also an opportunity to appeal to out-of-staters who are looking for a more authentic and accessible experience. Furthermore, with Bolton Valley's previous site lacking a mobile-friendly experience, and their complex functionality being outsourced to third-party services and platforms, Bytes.co & I were tasked with rebuilding the website structure in order to deliver information in a more digestible format for their users. In the end, we delivered a contemporary and welcoming user-friendly experience.
